So here’s my new gadget, a fancy little pedometer to tell me just how far I’ve walked in a day, hour, and I guess at the end go the year I should have a pretty good idea of just how much I scoot around. Heck it even tells me how many floors I’ve climbed and extended activity….I’m still trying to figure that one out but lets move forward.
I checked out quite a few of these things and ended up buying the Fitbit, which comes available in a couple different models. I chose the small “Fitbit One“. I preferred the small convenient size of it rather than a wrist band as another option available for us “walkers”.
So far I’ve treked along and scooted my way to more steps that I thought I was even taking on a daily basis, this is good for my ego and clearly gives my shoes a hardy workout too.
The fun thing about this gadget is that it has a very cool iPhone app and it syncs via Bluetooth to my laptop, no need to connect wires and wait….waiting is not fun less waiting means more walking-)
The web app provides all of your information in one convenient place so all it takes is an easy look to review your day or week as you go along.
The Fitbit also has real time stats on its display and a little flower that grows as you walk more and keep active.
Check it out..I have to go walk my flower.
