9 Holes and WAY over Par

• Today Hernan, Raul & I headed out to the trusty 9 hole course in Winter Park. I say trusty because it’s usually not that busy and you don’t really feel rushed by the other people playing on the course, this is good for me since I’m far from being on the top of my game.  We started around mid afternoon which provided us with the best overall heat and possibility of dehydration… so far so good. I actually started off pretty decent but around hole six the bell curve was not in my favor. I didn’t par any holes, Raul did though, he’s the best in the bunch and not a newbie like me so he’s good for the free pointers along the way. Hernan held strong and had a healthy chipping game, with some good puts to match. I think in all I lost three balls and left a few divots, but I honestly think that I’m getting better, just not today. I really feel that I need to work on my mental game, since I hit pretty good at the range but seem to fall apart somewhat on the course. All right I’m outa here, I need to drink about a gallon of water and hit the shower.
