2012 begins and as 2011 is now basically just a blur in my memory, I wanted to try to keep better track of my daily journeys with everything that I do, so I thought I’d begin a journal. Now….I’ve never had a journal, read a journal, written a journal and really don’t like writing long hand written entires probably because my handwriting looks the equivalent of a fourth grader…oh well…I’ll have to work on that too. Getting back to my journal…. I thought that keeping track of my day would be fun and a great way to reflect back on myself, my moods, and my outlook on…well…life. I’ve been a steady reader of tiny buddha and Goodlife Zen both of which many times bring daily words of simple sense to me…especially training myself to not worry about all the little nuances in life that can be thrown at you, but rather keep an eye at the positive side of things. I want to leave the gossip and judgment of life on the shelf and practice greater forgiveness and compassion. I’m not saying I plan to be a bag of mushy gooey, where’s a tissue kind of guy but….well..you get the idea.
Ok, so in my search for a simple, fun, and efficient way to keep track of my chaos, I found Day One a Mac Journal application that allows me to write, type (peck away at the keyboard) easily and it installs on my iPhone, iPad and my Mac. Here’s the best part…it syncs with Drop Box or iCloud so if I enter something on my iPhone it automatically goes to my Mac and iPad…I like that.
So off I go into 2012 and the challenges that I know it will bring….I’ll write those down………..ec
