Tampa Expo | Imaging USA

  • A couple of weeks ago, Samantha & I traveled to Tampa for the Imaging USA Expo that was held at the Tampa convention center. The expo is sponsored by the (PPA) Professional Photographers of America, and being a member myself it was nice to have met and networked with other local and distant photographers visiting for the three day event. Needless to say the expo was a great time that was had by all (many thousands) and we left with some great new ideas and services that we hope to incorporate into our business this year. Walking through the expo floor we were able to meet up face to face with some of the vendors that we usually communicate with via e-mail & phone. First I found  Asuka Books who we exclusively use for our engagement session books. Personally, and in my opinion,  I believe that they are the best in the business, I’ve tried other books but nothing compares to the absolute quality that this company provides to their customers, one of them being me; this not only makes me happy but most of all my clients. The second vendor that I was  searching for was Kiss Wedding Albums whom I will be using exclusively for all of my wedding albums this year. These wedding books are modern &  hot, both in style and quality of craftsmanship. With six hot colors to choose from the Italian leather that is used to create these albums are top quality and the style is …. well… simple and elegant. The pages are thick (2mm) and the prints are made on Kodak Eudora Satin paper… nice stuff. Besides all of the vendors that we were able to meet with I also ran into some specific professional photographers from other parts of the U.S those being Jessica ClaireKevin Swan and TriCoast Photography. These photographers are well established and known in the industry & it certainly was a pleasure to have met them during my time at the expo. Lastly, I have to mention Dennis Reggie. For those that are not familiar with Dennis he has photographed the Kennedy’s, the daughter of Gallo Wines, Maria Shriver, Arnold Schwarzenegger and the list goes on. I sat in a seminar with Dennis and listened to him speak  and I left with some great knowledge and insight to the profession. To sum things up the expo was a success for us because by attending these expos & seminars we are able to keep abreast of the latest trends and technologies happening in the business, which then allows me to provide better services and quality of product to you. Take care..ec

Here’s a photo of Dennis Reggie at the expo taken with my iPhone.
